All April in Paris items are made by hand using centuries-old traditional methods. In the fashion world, where almost everything is produced by machine, handcrafted custom leather accessories are the ultimate luxury.

All April in Paris bags are marked with Beatrice's signature logo, an 18-karat yellow, rose gold or sterling silver bee.

Beatrice is best known for her custom handbags, usually finished with the traditional saddle stitch, the same way it was done 200 years ago.

Other artistic possibilities include briefcases, wallets, watchbands, belts, coin purses, checkbook holders, Palm Pilot cases, jewelry boxes, tissue box covers and big items like furniture and car interiors. Beatrice also launched her first collections "Ma Maison" in 2005 which comprise leather runners, vase covers and leather shelves.

In her spare time (which is rare), Beatrice likes to design jewelry and objects, incorporating her bee logo such as pillboxes, money clips, key chains, bookmarks, rings, earrings and belt buckles.
 
 
 
 

Beatrice works with three or four tanners, all of whom are French. Only the finest skins are used, including French calf, ostrich, alligator and stingray.

Beatrice can request dye lots, which are done specifically for April in Paris, so one can see shocking pink alligator skins, persimmon ostrich skins and turquoise French calf.

A bag takes from 4 to 5 days.

A belt takes around 4 hours.

A wallet takes from 12 to 20 hours.

Handbags range from $2,800 to $10,000, depending on the material and design.

Belts range from $425 to $2,400, depending on the material and buckles.

Wallets range from $150 to $2,500, depending on the material and design.

For new designs, the prototype has to be approved by the client before Beatrice starts on the project.

In the rare case of a defect, April in Paris will repair or replace your product.

Due to intellectual and creative property concerns, Beatrice will not duplicate the work of another creator. Instead she will create a unique piece to match your style and needs.
